Wollemi Pines

The Wollemi pine is one of the world's oldest and rarest trees and it was thought that the tree was extinct.
However, in 1994 a very small number were discovered in the thick forests of the New South Wales' Blue Mountains region. In a deep, narrow canyon of the rugged Wollemi National Park
After a number of years of careful culturing, these ancient trees are available to the public, helping to keep our living fossil around for coming generations.
Reasonably quick growing, small plants can become a nice living Christmas Tree over a couple of years, or purchase larger plant for an instant average size Christmas Tree that can be used for years to come.
Easy to look after as an Australian native they are hardy and easy to grow.
A 4 year old tree in a pot stands approx 2 metres tall.
A wollemi Pine planted in the ground can grow 1 metre a year.
